We booked a table for 4 for a late Sunday lunch, would have given it 5 stars but they ran out of the lamb that two of us wanted staff were great, very helpful and attentive, we were not rushed once the meal was finished, thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be going there again soon
Nice pub, great beer selection. Very, very pricey though which is a shame. Great pizzas cooked in a proper pizza oven! Again, quite pricey though. There's a nice roof terrace for the summer too.
Fantastic as always. Only the lasagne dinner was a bit on a smaller size and it gets quite hot by the pizza oven. Otherwise excellent service, beautiful roast dinner. Will be back.
Lovely pub and restaurant in Castle Donington. Been here twice for a meal with work colleagues. Most recent a Christmas lunch on an evening. Being a veggie there was only one choice but thankfully it was a good one. A mushroom, brie and cranberry Wellington with pea shoots, beans and tarragon sauce. 9/10. Very tasty and not too much. Left space for a pud which wasn't quite up to scratch. A bread & butter pudding made with brioche and was quite stodgy, but nice underlying taste and lovely custard. Everyone I spoke to enjoyed their meals. As there was a group of us, we were treated to a function room upstairs which was very tastefully decorated. A very enjoyable experience.
