I attended the new Learn to Ride day at the Honda Ron Haslam Race School and it was such a fantastic experience! The staff are kind and helpful, and the instructors are brilliant. They really help to put you at ease, especially if it's your first time on a bike. Not to mention the fact that I got to meet one of my heroes, 'Rocket' Ron himself! I'm already booked in to do my first On Track experience this week and can't wait. Highly recommended!
The place is well organised and the bikes arent half bad but its not cheap though. You get a decent amount of track time and I definitely saw an improvement in my riding by the end. Down sides were the leathers, if you dont get first dibs then youre left with a suit thats ether too big or too small. Also the customer service could be better, all the staff and instructors were a bit miserable not great when youre there celebrating a birthday.
I attended the race school on the 17th of may, probably the worst weather all year with 20-40mm of rain, absolute waste of 299 and they even cancelled both the other groups right after us that day due to the weather being so bad! i gave them the opportunity to turn me from an unhappy customer to a happy one but they declined twice and told me i now had experiance riding in what i call "shocking conditions" You couldnt even see for the spray! I was told they never cancel days due to the weather but did on my day but im the one left with the bill and a terrible experience. Im sure that these days are great in the right weather but the day i went with the first group i was in should have been cancelled like the rest of the groups that day. i have emailed and provided multiple chances before this has got to a negative review stage.
Amazing Experience! Probably THE best bike Race School in the world! Riding pillion on the back of Ron was the most exhilarating experience of my life! Highly Recommended!
